The objective of these workshops was to train agribusiness companies, related organizations and government agencies on how to successfully prepare for participation in international trade fairs. It included training on proper selection of events, product costumization, market research, preparation of marketing strategy and material, and preparation and attendance to trade fairs. The now selected markets for pioneering new trade efforts are UAE and India. The workshops included explanation on selection of the trade events in these two countries, analysis of segments and niches and development of possible strategies for Tajik traders to enter these markets. For further promotion of Tajik products in these markets it is planned that ACP facilitates participation of processing companies in international trade fairs of “Gulfood” in Dubai and “Aahar” in New Delhi.
Gulfood is the largest food trade fair in the world hosting 5,000 exhibitors from 120 countries. Number of visitors this year was 80,000. Aahar International Food and Hospitality Fair . In 2017 it hosted 1,034 exhibitors representing 23 countries and 50,000 visitors.
