The direct beneficiaries of the Project include: commercial-oriented associations of producers and farmers, processors of agricultural products, agribusinesses and materials suppliers for agricultural production involved in the VDC and production linkages supported by the Project; participating financial institutions (PFI); government and academic institutions.
The project will focus on farms with the area up to 2 ha of agricultural land per shareholder, and farms with a total area of 25 hectares, if there are multiple shareholders, and farms with a total area of 10 hectares in the case of individual farmers. A special window of support has been developed for very small farmers with land area up to 0.5 ha per shareholder. The project is expected to cover about 16 000 beneficiaries, of which at least 30% must be women. In particular, it is expected that the Project will support approximately 200 agribusiness enterprises (processing companies and traders), associations of commercial farmers and production partnerships. Among the indirect project beneficiaries will be the recipients of new jobs created in the framework of the Project, students of educational institutions under the project, and the recipients of market information. Most of the beneficiaries are expected to be from Khatlon, Sughd region and Rayons of Republican subordination (RRS).
