The main topic of the presentation was VCD (Value Chain Development) in the dairy sector, identifying challenges in the sector as well as other important issues such as; improving the quality of milk production, problems of storage and delivery of milk to processing factories, livestock feeding and commercialization of farmers through the VCD in the dairy sector. In the second part of the presentation "NIRAS" expert introduced a short report of the field visit to all regions of the Republic of Tajikistan where he conducted research on possibilities for development and creation of value chain for the dairy sector with the help of farms.
The following recommendations are made as a result of the field visit:

• There is a need to ensure the transition to improved technology in order to obtain better quality milk.
• For the development of the dairy sector several steps are to be taken:

1. Investment + grant,
2. Modern technological equipment in the dairy sector and in the sector of cattle feeding.
